Indianapolis Painting

While driving thru Indy I snapped a couple of random pictures of this scene. I liked the overall color of the light that day along with the glare of the street in the bright sun. The industrial building is an electric plant with steam coming from tall stacks, and the tall blue Marriott is on the right.

When I got home I straightened the photo image, leveling the horizon and painted it. I had gotten almost all the way thru and decided I didn't like the painting. I realized I liked the random tilt of the photo, a result of not looking thru the viewfinder while driving. I repainted the scene, but this time didn't change the tilt. . .I like that much better.
